Position Summary – Director of Sales

A background in selling high tech systems in the multi-tiered construction market is a strong plus.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and develop a high-performance sales team through consistent field interaction and demonstration, capable of sustaining a minimum of 20% year over year revenue growth.  As part of the process, actively manage relationships and sales activity with selected key accounts and prospects to include those recommended by the President/COO.
  • Work with the President/COO to define the staffing needs for the sales department.  Assume responsibility for recruiting, selecting, training, and managing those individuals.
  • Develop and implement a set of comprehensive tools to identify, prioritize, measure, and drive the sales activity of the field sales force.  Focus on protecting, upselling and cross selling existing clients with new business sales of 20%.
  • Assist the President/COO in designing a sales compensation program that encourages, rewards, and drives high performance. 
  • Responsible for developing and implementing the sales strategy for the state of Michigan
  • Meet with key clients, assist sales representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
  • Deliver sales presentations with sales representatives.
  • Represent company at trade association meetings to promote our company and products.
  • Function as a liaison between the sales department and other company departments to ensure flawless execution and customer satisfaction.

Required Candidate Experience and skills:

Candidate Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years construction industry experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years proven sales management experience.
